Video evidence of Communications Minister’s support for Boko Haram released

The Minister of communication, Isa Pantami while denying allegations of affiliation with any terrorist organisation challenged anyone with any evidence of his being sympathetic to the course of any terror oragnisation to come up with such evidence.

The minister said “I have never been soft towards Boko Haram or any other terror group. I charge Nigerians to explore my preachings over the years in order to unearth the truth.”

In response to the challenge by the minister, The Peoples Gazette this afternoon released a video in their verified twitter handle where the minister was decrying Nigerian military under Goodluck Jonathan for launching attacks against Boko Haram.

In the released video Isa Pantami who spoke in Hausa language was heard calling the dreaded boko haram sects, his Muslim  brothers and that they deserve to be treated fairly and not otherwise.

In the translated video Pantami said “All of us most not fold our arms and watch helplessly how they shed our Muslim brothers’ blood and cheat them in vain.”

“Even if the Boko Haram fighters commit a crime, but can we justify the way and manner they are being killed?”

In reaction to the released video a human rights lawyer Samuel Ihensekhien Jnr. has called for the removal and arrest of the Minister, Mr. Isa Pantami for violating section 5 of the anti terrorism and amendment act, lfn2013.
