Sunday Igboho: Yoruba agitators warn FG

Ilana Omo Oodua, the Yoruba secessionist group has warned the Federal Government to leave their leader Sunday Adeyemo alias Sunday Igboho alone.

The Yoruba Nation agitators made this known to reporters while protesting at the Gani Faeehinmi Park in Ojota in Lagos on Saturday.

The agitators who seemed like a flock without shepherd as non of the leaders of the Ilana Omo Oodua group was on ground to address them or direct proceedings insisted that they will hold the President Muhammadu Buhari-led FG responsible should anything untoward happen to Igboho.

The agitators carried different placards with inscriptions such as “Leave Igboho alone”, “Igboho Oosa”, “Igboho is not the problem, arrest terrorists and bandits”.

The agitators included traditionalists, traders, women and youths, who chanted songs in support of Yoruba Nation and Igboho.

However, the protest has since been disrupted by the police who fired tear gas and used water cannons at the agitators.


Meanwhile, a security operative dispersing Yoruba Nation agitators at Ojota, Lagos State, has reportedly killed a yogurt seller, identified simply as Jumoke.

It was gathered that the bullets fired by the security operative had severed the stomach of the 14-year-old girl.

She was reportedly displaying drinks at a shop when the bullet hit her.

Her body has been covered with a piece of cloth as a crowd gathered at the spot. The lifeless body of the unknown girl was crowded by sympathisers at the scene.

The Police later took the body to an unknown destination.
