The Ebonyi State Police Command on Tuesday declared a member of the National Youth Service Corps in the state, Victor Omah, missing.
PUNCH Metro gathered that the 24-year-old Kogi State indigene was serving at the Agency for Mass Literacy on the old Enugu/Abakaliki Road by the Presbyterian Church, Kpirikpiri, Abakaliki, the state capital.
Sources said his roommate, Ujah Innocent, first drew the attention of the police to his disappearance on November 9, when he told the command that his roommate left their lodge same day around 6pm.
The victim, it was further learnt, was a member of the National Association of Catholic Church Corps Members and was living in the group’s family house behind Hope in Hotel, Presco Junction, Abakaliki, until the incident.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs Loveth Odah, confirmed the incident.
She said, “The command has disseminated the information through its control room and other police formations within the command, while efforts are being intensified to trace the missing person.
“He is dark in complexion, five feet tall, speaks Igala dialect and English language fluently, and has no tribal mark. All efforts made to trace Victor Omah proved abortive.
“The command, therefore, implores members of the public with useful information on his whereabouts to please report at the nearest police station.”
