Independence day: Owerri Residents Complied with the sit-at-home protest (see photos

The sit-at-home declaration by the Indegenous People of Biafra, IPOB, was in full compliance in Owerri-the capital city of Imo State and other towns and communities in the state.

Recall that the Nigerian goverment was on Friday, October 1, marked her 61st independence celebration which in the past would record large compliance of masses in celebration at various stadiums with students of different stages marching in uniforms and taking salutes from their state governors or military administrators but this year’s independence activities in the Southeast was recorded as the worst remembrance, following the incarceration of the leader of the Indegenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, by the President Muhamadu Buhari-led government over his seccessionist campaign for Biafra nation.
