I will never play for Arsenal – Lukaku

Chelsea striker, Romelu Lukaku, who scored Chelsea’s first goal in the clubs 2-0 drubbing of Arsenal at the Emirates, has said he would “never” sign for Arsenal.

Lukaku whose return to the Stamford Bridge from Inter Milan at the beginning of the season saw the London giants patting with a whopping £97.5million proved himself a worthy buy with a brilliant performance against the Gunners.

The 28-year-old scored the first goal at the Emirates, before Reece James doubled the visitors’ lead.

Following the win, Lukaku was asked by beIN Sports about Arsenal supporters, who were calling for him to join the Gunners this summer.

But the Belgium striker smiled before he shook his head and replied: “Never. No chance.”

When asked about his performance against Arsenal in a separate interview with Sky Sports, Lukaku replied: “It is good to start like this, I worked hard throughout the week, we knew it was a big game and we did well.

“As an individual, I want to help the team and I want to continue doing that.”
