Children’s Day: AZUBOGU Calls for new investments on Education, Technology Infrastructure in Anambra State

…Stresses need for framework on training of Anambra State children in 21st Century driven technology across State school system

The leading aspirant of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the Anambra State November 6 election, Engr Chris Emeka Azubogu, has canvassed for fresh investments in the education and technology infrastructure of the State in order to train and inculcate 21st Century driven innovations across the State School system.

In his May 27, Children’s Day message to the children of Anambra State, Engr Azubogu stated that the State has the potentials to supply the world the needed human resources in the technology sector.

In the message released by his Media Office, Engr Azubogu, who is the member representing Nnewi North/Nnewi South/Ekwusigo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives said: “As we mark the 2021 Children’s Day, there is need for a deliberate institutional policy framework that will protect the future of our State through keying our kids into technology innovative knowledge.

”The world is driving via technological economy and we have to strategize on how to key our kids into this global reality from their Primary School education.

”I want to lead the Anambra State government that will put framework that will strengthen Technology Innovative Ecosystem with capacity to warehouse technology startups for the projected new shift in Tech-Economy for the State.


”Anambra State public sector must come up with the needed technology Infrastructure. The startup ecosystem formation should begin from government involvement in infrastructure development, Ease of Doing Business legislation, tracking of startup ecosystem development, promoting the ecosystem, making connections and organizing events.”

Stating that Anambra State must put the right framework for the State to benefit from the growing E-Commerce market in Nigeria, Engr Azubogu stated: “The current e-Commerce market is Nigeria is worth $12 billion (USD) and is projected to reach $75 billion in revenues per annum by 2025. The point is that our State, Anambra, must develop framework that will put it in a strategic position to gain from thriving e-Commerce sector in the country.”

_Azubogu therefore called for new education framework in Anambra State that will open opportunities for all children in the State. _

Said he: “We want a State that will offer opportunities for all children irrespective of the status of their parents and where they came from.”
